Recent home remodel revealed

So far since Graham has been in college he has yet to spend spring break at home.*(see end of blog) We figured this year would be no different so as soon as we dropped him off at SU after Winter Break, we gutted his bedroom and put in a home theater. Nice, eh?? Like it?

Actually, Knitting Hubby and I went to a Monday night 7:10 pm showing of “Die Fälscher” (The Counterfeiters).
Click on the link for the Internet Movie Database info. We figured since it was an award winning movie with subtitles we’d better go see it on the 4th day of screenings before they replaced it with something like “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay”. This was the theater crowd at 7:09 pm. A film in German, Russian and Hebrew with English subtitles has never scared us away. It was just last Friday that we went to see “Die Höhle des gelben Hundes” (The Cave of the Yellow Dog), a German movie in Mongolian. Sigh…art and independent films just don’t do well here. Thank goodness there is a film club where I work or we’d never see any.

Ruby thanks her friend Kim for sending a picture of a white crowned sparrow (and the cat art postcard) and asks Momma why Kim can take a good sharply focused bird picture and all of Momma’s are blurry. (gee Ruby, you think it could be cause I’m taking pictures through a window filled with cat nose prints?)

The birds and I are excited that the raspberry canes are starting to leaf out.

Oh yeah, this is a fiber related blog. So don’t forget that this weekend (Sat and Sun) is the Northwest Alpaca Showcase at the TRAC in Pasco. Famous Jessica, Blogless Kim, Knitting Hubby and I, and a bunch of other local fiber artists will be demo-ing alpaca fiber spinning, knitting, quilting and weaving. Stop by and say hi!!

*Not what you think. No girls gone wild Cancun spring breaks for Graham. He does things like touring the Library of Congress and the National Gallery. This year he stayed on campus and managed his team’s work on their recumbent utility bike for the Human Powered Vehicle Western Nationals race in Reno NV. It was held this past Friday thru Sunday and we are doing the Happy (Parents) Dance!!! They came in 1st!!!!!!!

I hope our raspberry plants will come back after having been chewed to the nubs by critters! Dratted things! Congrats to G!
