If you celebrate Easter, Happy Easter!
I spun a little this morning and this afternoon mowed the lawn. The wind came up which usually means it’s an opportune time to put the tumbleweeds into the middle of the street and let the wind carry them over to the next county. Not this time. Half way through getting rid of the tumbleweeds the wind changed direction and I was getting more tumbleweeds in the yard than I was removing.
Then the rain started.
I love the rain. But I think it is the cause of our cable TV semi-outage. Another house is going in behind us and they were running a back hoe for two days up there. We have a history of electrical, phone and cable outages all stemming from construction back hoes. Every time I call in the outage I give them the approximate location of where a backhoe was used and 9 times out of 10 they’ve cut a cable. We wouldn’t have been too worried except we’ve been watching the Master’s tournament and cable channel 2 was saying “no signal”. No signal up to our cable channel 5, and then everything above it is B&W snow but at least has sound and somewhat of a picture. I dug around and found a set of rabbit ears, reprogrammed the HDTV and now Knitting Hubby and Rufus are eating Easter dinner and are watching the tournament in HD digital. And loving it of course. Our regular cable provider doesn’t have HD but we like the line up and it’s cheap. To get the same line up in satellite would cost over twice as much. BUT on the other hand, with rabbit ears we get HD Digital but a limited number of channels for free.
We had afternoon dinner since neither of us had eaten all day. Spiral honey ham, a sweet potato casserole (recipe I’d had since Thanksgiving and never tried till now. It’s a keeper) and sour creme lemon pie.
Time to cut the pie!
