The Giggle Test

OK I know you’ve all been breathlessly waiting to hear the result of the haiku contest. Knitting Hubby helped me judge. There were funny haiku’s, scientific haiku’s, profound haiku’s and two that I will be giving a second place prize to even though I didn’t know I would be awarding second prizes. So you lucky second prize winners will see a little something in the mail too. Second prize goes to Turtle for the following – I don’t know how to describe it, but poetically visual.:

Lambing time is now
Born during late winter snows
Next years sweaters grow.

And to Roxie for her writing from a cat’s point of view:

Hooman knits, I nests
under knitting on soft lap
I sleep, you not move.

And first place, for making Knitting Hubby and I giggle ever single time we read it goes to Chrissy. It can be read in so many different ways!!!

Kitty claws seek yarn.
Scarf soaks in lavender bath.
Oops! Kitty can’t swim!
