    cat sits on my lap
    trying to write a haiku
    leaves with yarn instead

Thanks! Very fun and helped me work out my daily frustration during the time that is known around here as “The Kitty Hour” – the time from when they “think ” they should be fed until they actually “get” fed!

    Mayhem lurks, awaits

    dangling – now more ends.

    The snow has fallen
But i smell spring in the air
    Not quickly enough!

or (you can see kind of a theme here!)

    Lambing time is now
    Born during late winter snows
    Next years sweaters grow.

    Cold about my neck
    Colored softness taking shape
    Warmth envelops me.

And what I wrote before I read the “rules”…

    Twisted clouds of fur
    Magic flows through skilled fingers
    Fiber entwines life

What fun. I haven’t written Haiku since college…and that was a loooooooong time ago.

    ———————————-
    With five in the house
    Always a cat hair involved
    You want fries with that?

    ———————————-
    Meow purr purr
Scratch dig knead rumble chomp chomp
    Purr meow meow

    ———————————-
    Scent of pickled sheep
Steam rises from pot on stove
    Add dye, color blooms

    ———————————-
    Superwash wool, silk
    Stripes on yarn and kitties
    My favorite things
