One pig short of a sparnfarkle

Today was an in town day starting with none other than our walk to Daily Grind for a few leisurely cups of the coffee of the day. Bob joined us today (doesn’t have to be back at work till Tuesday). I continued to knit on my Annie Stole. After coffee we all putzed around at Hancock Fabrics. The store in Marshfield is a real nice one and if ours had been that nice it may have actually stayed in business.

We planned ahead and had an early lunch at El Mezcal, a great Mexican restaurant. We got to see Aaron and meet his girlfriend Trish. We celebreated her birthday there. And when someone mentioned it was the 22nd, Knitting Hubby and I realized it was our wedding anniversary! Guess you really know you are relaxing on vacation when you don’t know what day number it is.

From there we went to the Wildwood Zoo to walk off lunch. The sun came out so we had a nice view of the animals.

Then we disbursed to our respective abodes for naps. Except Knitting Hubby and I didn’t nap. We were still in the walking mood so we walked back downtown and over to the fairgrounds to check out the World’a Largest Round Barn. I wish it were open sometime so I could check out the inside.

By the time we walked the couple miles back it was time for Hazel to pick us up and drive us out to the brats and beer dinner at Bob and Linda’s. I got a ton of knitting done out there again while I bird watched. Ruby would be so jealous. I am really enjoying seeing all the “east of the Mississippi River” birds we don’t have on the West coast. We also really enjoyed the Stevens Point Brewery Nude Beach Summer Wheat ale. Finished with Yakima Hops from right up the highway from our house of course. Before we left I got both Hazel and Linda signed up for Ravelry. After an evening of dinner and chit chat we headed back to our hotel.
