The amazing adventure continues

Everyone stand up and give Alaska Airlines a big cheer. They held the flight Knitting Hubby was trying to conect to and he made it to our Anchorage hotel at 2:30 am. That gave him a few hours sleep before we boarded the Alaska Rail train to Denali Park.

Our hotel shuttle driver called ahead to our hotel to have them immediatly put our luggage in our room since we only had a few minutes before we left on an 11 mile white water rafting trip with some real nice class 4’s! Knitting Hubby and I decided to ride the oar raft rather than paddle so we had Abby our guide all to ourselves. Amazing fun, we hadn’t white watered in a couple of years. We got back to our lodge just at dusk, a beautiful property owned by the Native Peoples. Here’s a view from our place.

We got up real early this morning for our 8 hour Denali Wildlife Tour. A very beautiful trip. One beautiful vista after another. And we got to see moose, tons of cariboo, even more Dall sheep, momma Griz and babies, ptarmigan, hawks, ground squirrels, ravens and I can’t remember what else.

Yards of knitting done in the last 24 hours? Zero.

You got to see Mama Griz and babies?!! I didn’t even know I wanted to do that but now I’m jealous. Great photos!

The reason you weren’t able to knit was that, although it is possible to operate a camera one-handed, the knitting? Not so much.
