We have a winner!

UPDATE: Kelly is Kelly from our local Friday Night Knit Night!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Kelly figured out who painted the picture of the grumpy kitty kat. It is a snippet of the painting “The Fall of Man” by Hendrik Goltzius done in 1616. It hangs in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. Alot of you came close. Clickity bigity for the whole painting.

congrats Kelly: I looked at paintings for about an hour last night. I have never studied art before. It was kind of fun. I saw some wonderful paintings.

Oh thank heavens somebody figured it out! This is the first time I’ve seen a cat depicted in a classical biblical painting. I still think he (the cat) looks slightly warped. But isn’t that poison ivy that Adam has draped acrossed his nether region? S, you always host the most delightful contests. Hope you have a great weekend!

Boyohboy, I never would have found this — I don’t remember ever seeing a cat in a Biblically-themed painting. Good going, Kelly!
