One last art history contest

Then I change subject matter to say, oh, I don’t know. Motorcycles? Song lyrics? Hubcaps? I’ve done famous toilets, recipes and art. This is the last art piece. Who is the artist? Look at the palette (Inspiration for my next sock yarn dyeing!). You’ve probably all seen it before, just not on a bridge. Too many hints here but whoever comes up with the artist first gets stitch markers from my latest batch.

Those colors, the yellow of the bridge and the way the wooden structure is painted…I know he was influenced by the Japanese…that has to be VanGogh.

Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), The Bridge in the Rain (after Hiroshige), 1887. Oil on canvas, 73 x 54 cm. Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam.

Darn not the first, but the first with a lot of info regarding the painting…
