Dancing at Lughnasa, Spinning at the TRAC

Ok so there wasn’t really any dancing but there was plenty of spinning at the TRAC facility!! Famous Jessica, Blogless Kim and I joined a group of the local fiber artists and demo’d at the NW Alpaca Showcase this past weekend.

There was spinning, weaving and all around fibering.

There was purchasing of dyed Norwegian Pelssau Locks from Lori Flood. There were also major purchases of silk hankies, suri batts, and other yakerly goodies by Jessica and Kim.

Note what sweater Mom is wearing? Yup, she choose the Rowan Tweed sweater for Mother’s Day. And wore it all weekend!

You can’t say I never entertain my parents when they are in town. Some trips we go antiqueing or to the parade of homes or antique car shows or Spin-Ins. This trip? They hung out at the Alpaca Showcase, watched Russell Terrier races and ate breakfast at a local biker bar.

Official countdown to Packwood: T minus 4.5 days and counitng.

I think I am dragging Wonderful Guy to the alpaca show in Denver this next weekend! Then maybe a trip to the botanical gardens to see the spring bulbs. Soo much excitement, sooo little time!

That looks nice! Ooh and those lama’s are sweet :) at least, when they don’t spit at you. I hope you (and your parents) had a good time.
